transmission question

Has anybody ever checked to see if a 1500cc Honda gold wing transmission with reverse will bolt up to a Valkyrie engine to give me reverse?

Good thought but I have no idea on that one Rich. Interested to see the answer. I hope someone else will chime in.

The engines are different and the reverse system is much more involved than just using a starter motor, it has an entire control system with relays, resistors and switches. There is no reverse gear in the transmission of a GL1500 Goldwing.

Yes I know all that but will the complete transmission from a 1500cc wing bolt up to a Valkyrie bellhousing or block?

The internal components for the transmission will interchange but the ratio will change on the Valkyrie. To swap the transmission assembly you remove the engine and split the case halves.
